From September 2 to 4, 2025, INPE's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (LIAREA) participated in the third edition of the Machine Intelligence for GeoAnalytics and Remote Sensing (MIGARS 2025) conference, held at University Politehnica of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania. The MIGARS conference was technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS). GRSS is one of the most relevant communities in remote sensing, with goals that include understanding our interaction with the planet's ecosystems and monitoring its environments.

It was a quite interesting event. Our lab, LIAREA, presented the article "LULC mapping via 3D CNN with noisy data, supervised and weakly supervised learning". This study is related to the master's dissertation of André Estevam Costa Oliveira, a student in the PGCAP/INPE graduate program. The selected study area was part of the Brazilian Cerrado savanna.
